                                                Senior Account Manager – Responsible for all Commercial sales for the Western Region (CA, AZ, WA, OR, NV) with primary focus on Aerospace accounts, excluding the Boeing account. Opened nine new accounts in one year, including first-time customers Solar Turbines, Lockheed, Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, who chose Linux Networx as their technology partner for a two-year period. Was the only Commercial Sales Account Manager to exceed quota in 2006.

 

Other accounts include L-3 Communications, Amgen, CIS Hollywood, Bend Research, Edwards Lifesciences, Simpson Strong-Tie, Mobotec USA, Digital Technology Laboratory (DTL), Aerion Corporation, Philips Lumileds and Ansoft.

                                                Partnered with primary Sales Representative to achieve sales quota for three years straight with the last year exceeding 236% of quota, more than doubling the next closest sales team. Most significant accomplishment was the creation of a new Business Intelligence product module for a large aerospace customer that was used for asset tracking and reporting across 2,000 computer systems and was eventually incorporated into a standard product. Sales Representative - Initially responsible for selling SGI product line into Hollywood and surrounding geographical territory. In addition to selling direct, also managed VAR and VAD channel sales within my accounts. In July 1997 became responsible for selling to all Entertainment and Game Development companies in East Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties. Increased sales 33% over previous year’s revenue in only seven months including the company’s first sale of any computer system to Citibank worldwide.

Account Manager - Responsible for selling products to new customers within Orange County. In July 1994 became the Western Region Account Manager for the Entertainment vertical market. Developed strategy and implemented tactical plans to penetrate this new market for the Cray product line, which included the SPARC-based CS6400 Superserver. Won two new, strategic accounts for the company, including beating IBM and the incumbent, SGI, at a major Entertainment Studio for their high-profile ATM file server project.

 

Sep 1985 Apr 1993          Senior Sales Analyst - Activities included optimizing code, running benchmarks, giving presentations to prospects and providing Account Managers with technical sales support. Also performed extensive Fortran code conversion from DEC, IBM and CDC platforms to Cray supercomputers running COS, UNICOS and CTSS operating systems.

Programmer/Analyst II - Customized PROMIS software package to company’s specifications using Fortran on DEC VAX-11/780’s. On personal time, developed software to reduce wafer-processing downtime from 3 hours to only 20 minutes saving the company millions of dollars whenever there was any database failure (which averaged once a month).

Software Engineer - Integrated customized databases and HVAC software at high-visibility customer sites throughout the USA. Responsibilities involved code modifications using Fortran on DEC PDP-11 series running RSX-11M. Was the only field person allowed to modify code and have direct communication with developers.

Senior Programmer/Analyst - Designed, developed and implemented the first multi-purpose bond-pricing package for Account Executives using COBOL, ADABAS and NATURAL on an IBM 3033 and 4341 running OS/MVS.
